KLARJET BASIN 5500 is a universal pressure external filter designed for purifying water in swimming pools. KLARJET BASIN 5500 is a sand filter suitable for all types of swimming pools with a capacity of up to 20,000 l. The filter medium consists of a sand bed weighing up to 10 kg. It is recommended to use natural sand or fine quartz gravel with a grain diameter of 0.8 to 1.2 mm. The filter is driven by a pump with a capacity of 5500 l / h.
Thanks to the high pressure inside the filter, the filter effectively cleans the pool water from all mechanical impurities, keeping it perfectly transparent. Its additional advantages are the AUTOCLEAN and BY-PASS functionsfor easy cleaning and maintenance of the device. The AUTOCLEAN function allows automatic filter cleaning without switching off the pump and opening its housing. For automatic cleaning of the device, simply turn the lever on the filter cover to the AUTOCLEAN position. Then, the water flowing through the filter changes its direction, washes all impurities from the filter bed and discharges them outside with an additional nozzle.
BY-PASS system in turn, it allows you to open the filter without having to turn off the pump. When you shift the lever to the BY-PASS position, water flows through the filter cover, bypassing the filter bed. Thanks to this – if necessary, it is possible to easily replace the sand with a new one. In order to ensure the highest quality of water in the pool, it is possible to additionally install a UV-C AS 11W sterilizer in the filter to remove bacteria, fungi, protozoa and other microorganisms potentially dangerous for pool users.
